Yet another week of KHL hockey has passed by and the league has once again announced the best players for the fifth week of the regular season.
The best goalie comes from Vitjaz Podolsk, 33-year old Ilya Ezhov appeared in two games and won both of them. The Russian goalie turned away 96.4 percent of opponent shots. His team is currently 5th in the western conference.

On defense – Nick Bailen shined the brightest. The 30-year old helped his team to win two games on the road. The Belarussian national team player scored a goal and assisted three times while also earning a +2 rating. His Traktor Chelyabinsk team holds 5th place in the east.
The best forward – Nicklas Jensen of Jokerit Helsinki. 27-year old played in three games helping his team earn five out of six available points. The Danish forward earned 5 points (4G1A) and a rating of +4 becoming the team’s best sniper. Jokerit holds 6th place in the western conference.
Rookie of the week comes from Bob Hartley’s Avangard Omsk team – Yegor Chinakov. The 19-year old scored four goals averaging 17:03 of ice time. Bob and his squad currently lead the KHL in points.
