The KHL season is at its peak and for the eight straight weeks the league has named four best players that stood out during the week.
The best goalie – The 32-year-old Julius Hudacek (Spartak Moscow). ”The Hudashow” appeared in three games and managed to win two of them. The Czech goalie turned away 98 out of 100 shots and recorded a spectacular 0.65GAA.
The best defenseman – Former NHL Michal Jordan (Amur Khabarovsk) his team managed to win only two of the four games they played, but the 30-year-old recorded four points (3+1) in those games. It’s notable that he managed to score a hat-trick against AkBars Kazan in his team’s victory.
The best forward also comes from Amur Khabarovsk – Vladimir Butuzov. The Russian earned seven points (4+3). He tallied points in all four games. He also led the league in the plus/minus category with a plus 5. He made 17shots on goal, blocked four opposing shots, and also laid two hits.
The best rookie – Alexei Toropchenko (Kunlun Red Star). His team managed to win two out of three games that they played as the player managed to score two goals meaning that he had scored his first and second career KHL goals. His plus/minus rating stood at plus 3 while averaging 15 minutes and 33 seconds of ice time, recorded nine hits, and blocked four shots.
