In the only AHL division that held a postseason last year, the Pacific offered a chance for any of its seven teams to take the John D. Chick Trophy home.
Finishing second overall in the regular season, the Bakersfield Condors earned a bye past the play-in round for a 2-3 match-up against San Diego. After losing the first game of the best-of-three series, Bakersfield won two overtime games in a row to earn a trip to the Pacific Division Final. Facing off against regular season division champion Henderson, the Condors and Silver Knights traded victories in the best-of-three final, with Bakersfield taking games one and three to secure the division crown.
