The Florida Panthers are back on the upswing. New coaching, they’ve had some internal changes, and something that has been a constant for a while now is the fact that they have some tantalizing prospects.
The lower body strength in this goalie is important his legs are so strong, and they create the force in his push-off, and post-to-post speed is two strong points in his game. He has a quick glove hand too. Knight could be one of the top goalies in the NHL someday.
This two-way center was known for his sound play, talent in the face-off dot. He considers himself a playmaker, but the quick-release wrist shot that he has in his arsenal can be deadly. Don’t forget about his speed as well. He has the tools of a top-line center if it all breaks right.
He’s the kind of defenseman who knows when to go deep into the offensive zone to create scoring chances. He has an excellent point shot; it’s an accurate wrist shot. He has a quick first pass as well. Ludvig has good acceleration too.
This right winger has speed, and he can make plays out of nothing. Denisenko can make good defensive plays and turn them into odd-man rushes and scoring chances, and eventually goals. Unlocking his potential at the NHL would be a big win for Florida.
This center is a freshman at Michigan University. He’s fast, good with dekes, and a calm passer. He can put points on the board and play a solid two-way game on the wing as well.

He has the speed to make it, and when you combine that with excellent hockey sense, great determination with the puck, and terrific wrist shot, then you have something. He scored 14 goals in 29 as a freshman center with Quinnipiac University.
He’s an intelligent player who can play in the middle or on the wing. Last season with Syracuse, he had six points in six games. The Finn makes smart passes. He has speed, and he can work in tight spaces.
This smooth-skating defenseman can skate out of trouble. He has a good first pass. Gildon has an athletic frame to build on. Gildon has a solid one-timer on the power play. I like his breakout efficiency. He’s solid on the PK.
He’s a decent, playmaking center who does a lot of things on the ice. He’s good on the PK, and he’s fast to the net. His hockey I.Q. is excellent.
This Florida native has some speed on the wing. He had a solid career at BC teaming up with Jack McBain. Last season he was a point-per-game until his season was shut down. He will put up some numbers this year with the Charlotte Checkers in the AHL.
