The Boston Bruins have a good system with some interesting prospects. It could be better but there are many with worse. They are still lacking a good pool of A prospects, but they have a lot of B and C type prospects and that’s not too shabby.
Jeremy Swayman
This young goaltender is 22 soon to be 23. The Bruins have rushed some young goaltenders before. The positive is he played in 100 games for the University of Maine over three seasons. In 2019-20, he was a Hobey Baker Finalist, and he won the Mike Richter Award for Top Goaltender in the nation. Swayman is calm between the pipes and very athletic. His NHL sample size is too small to say what his ceiling is currently.

Ep 34: NHL Coaching Retreads; Stanley Cup Final Talkby Full Press Coverage on June 22, 2022 at 3:30 pm

Jack Studnicka
Studnika is a talented center who can be a scorer and a playmaker. He has a good shot, and he makes good plays in the offensive zone. Studnicka is good defensively, and he’s a good skater. His only issue is the fact that the Bruins have too many centers with more experience. He could become trade bait at some point.
Fabian Lysell
This right wing was one of the fastest players in his draft class. He was a better passer and had a higher skill level than most drafted in the first round. His fast zone entries and good stick and puck control make him an enticing package. His plus wrist shot will be on display in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants this season.
John Beecher
He’s a versatile forward who has bottom-six written all over him, and that’s fine, he knows his role. He has good straight-line speed. If he’s playing center, he can win face-offs. He prides himself on doing the little things, and Beecher can add some points too.

Jakub Lauko
This left wing skipped a lot of developmental steps, and now at 21, he’s making up for that. His speed and offense ability is good, but his defensive prowess can be great. Lauko will take a hit to make a play.
Mason Lohrei
This defenseman is 6-4, 200 pounds. He breaks up scoring chances with his stick. He brings the puck up the ice with ease and has a terrific first pass. He’s good on the power play. Willing to block shots and as a freshman with Ohio State, that’s important. At 20, he’s a rising prospect.
Urho Vaakanainen
This puck-moving defenseman can skate and get a few points along the way. His defense is good enough to be an NHL depth defenseman at this point, but I feel like injures and lack of playing time have cost him.
Trevor Kuntar
This left-wing has a playmaking ability when he’s played at center and can score. He has good vision, his skating is improving since he’s at Boston University, and at 6-0, 196, he shows some strength and technic in the crease area.
Jake Schmaltz
This versatile forward is a 20-year-old freshman for North Dakota. He’s the cousin of Nick and Jordan. He has a bit of a goal-scoring touch but will block shots and use his 6-1 frame to get the puck from the opposition.
Philip Svedeback
This 6-4, 205-pound goaltender has started his year in good form with the Dubuque Fighting Saints. He moves like a fast crab post to post. Svedeback is fast up and down. His long reach for his glove hand is valuable. Clutch with a man down. He is very athletic.
