SEASON SYNOPSIS
In its second season of existence, the Henderson Silver Knights finally got the opportunity to play in front of fans at both the Orleans Arena and brand new Dollar Loan Center in 2021-22. After winning the Pacific Division regular season the year prior, the Silver Knights finished last season sixth in the nine-team Pacific, with a record of 35-28-5 with 75 points and a .551 points percentage. Henderson was swept in the first round by the Colorado Eagles, two games to none in a best-of-three series.
Centerman Pavel Dorofeyev led the Silver Knights in goals (27) and total points (52) in 63 games played. Fellow Russian Daniil Miromanov was the team leader in assists (29). Logan Thompson, the 2021 Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award winner for AHL Goaltender of the Year, appeared in 29 games for Henderson this season. He posted a 13-9-4 record, 2.77 goals against average, and .920 save percentage (tied for sixth in the league). Also in goal, rookie netminder Isaiah Saville impressed at the end of the regular season, going 6-1-0 in eight games played with a 2.05 GAA and .929 SV%.
