SEASON SYNOPSIS
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms were one of four team’s in the AHL’s Atlantic Division to play 76 games in 2021-22. Unfortunately, four more games on the schedule just meant four more games to lose for the Phantoms. Lehigh Valley won only eight games in October, November, and December combined. The slow start doomed the team, with the Phantoms finishing in eighth & last place in the Atlantic with a record of 29-32-15, 73 points, and a .480 points percentage.
Team captain Cal O’Reilly led the team in both goals (21) and total points (53) last season. Defenseman Adam Clendening led Lehigh Valley in assists (37) and total points for Phantoms d-men (42). Around two-thirds of the Lehigh Valley goaltending workload went to Felix Sandström (16-18-5, 2.89 goals against average, .902 save percentage). The other approximately one-third of Phantoms games went to Pat Nagle (10-6-6, 2.74 GAA, .904 save percentage).
