2023 Bridgeport Islanders Offseason Player Tracker

SEASON SYNOPSIS

When your AHL team holds both season records for home and road winless streaks (both at nine games), overall club success does not seem favorable.

Cue the Bridgeport Islanders. Their 34-30-8 regular season record placed them seventh out of eight teams in the Atlantic Division, well outside of playoff position with 76 points and a .528 points percentage. Even after placing third in the AHL on the power play (22.9% conversion rate) and ranking seventh in goals for per game (3.31/gm), the Baby Isles were plagued by bad defense (3.44 goals allowed per game) that cost the team games.

Two Top 11 league scorers graced Bridgeport’s roster this season. Forward Chris Terry finished fourth in points, potting 27 goals and netting 51 assists for 78 points in 67 games played. Fellow forward Andy Andreoff came in 11th in league scoring, accruing 37 goals & 28 assists for 65 total points in 69 games played. Andreoff led the league in goals scored, while Terry ranked fourth in assists. Neither skater will be returning to Bridgeport in 2023-24.

Forward Ruslan Iskhakov finished third in rookie scoring (17G + 34A = 51 PTS in 69 GP). Fellow forward William Dufour finished tied for sixth (21G + 27A = 48 PTS in 69 GP). Both players are still under their entry-level contracts.
