About Us
Offshore Sportsbooks is an independent research site for US bettors weighing up offshore sportsbooks — sites licensed outside the United States that accept players from states without a regulated online betting market. We don't operate a sportsbook and we don't take bets. Our job is to look at how these sites actually perform on mobile — odds, markets, bonuses, banking and payout speed — and lay it out plainly so you can decide for yourself whether one is worth your time.
This page explains who we are, how we assess the operators we cover, and where our money comes from. If you'd rather get in touch directly, our Contact Us page has the details.
Why We Built a Site Focused on Mobile Offshore Sportsbooks
Most US bettors these days place the majority of their action from a phone, not a desktop. But not every offshore sportsbook translates well to a small screen — some run clean native apps, others rely on a browser-based site that feels bolted on. We built this site because the difference between a smooth mobile experience and a clunky one affects everything from how fast you can get a bet down on a live line to how easily you can check a balance or request a withdrawal. So when we look at operators, we're specifically asking how they hold up on a phone, not just how they look on a desktop demo.
What We Actually Look At
Every operator we cover, including the ones featured at the top of this page — Lucky Rebel, Bovada, BetOnline and the rest of our ranked list — is assessed against the same set of criteria. We don't vary the bar depending on who's paying for placement, and commission never buys a higher spot in our rankings.
- Odds and pricing — how competitive the moneylines, spreads and totals are across major US sports, and whether the vig runs higher or lower than the market average
- Market coverage — the breadth of sports, props, futures and live/in-play betting on offer, and whether same-game parlays are supported
- Mobile experience — whether the operator has a dedicated app or a mobile-optimized site, how quickly pages load, and how easy it is to place a bet or manage an account on a small screen
- Bonuses and their terms — we read the full rollover requirements, minimum odds and time limits behind every welcome offer, not just the headline percentage
- Banking, including crypto — deposit and withdrawal methods, processing times, payout limits and any fees, with particular attention to how Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and stablecoin transactions compare to card or wire transfers
- Verification and support — how strict or lenient KYC checks are in practice, and how responsive customer support is when something goes wrong
- Reputation and track record — how long an operator has been running, and whether it has a consistent history of paying players out
Where Offshore Sportsbooks Actually Stand
We're upfront about this because too many sites gloss over it: offshore sportsbooks are licensed outside the US — typically in jurisdictions like Curaçao, Panama, or Costa Rica — and they are not regulated by any US state gaming authority. For a bettor in a state with no legal, regulated online sportsbook, that puts these sites in a legal grey area. Using one does not carry the same consumer protections you'd get from a state-licensed operator — no segregated player funds, no state dispute-resolution process, no guarantee of payout if something goes wrong. That risk sits alongside the ordinary risk of losing a bet, and it's one reason payout speed and operator reputation matter as much as odds and bonuses in our reviews.
Laws vary by state, and we're not in a position to tell you whether using an offshore sportsbook is permissible where you live. If you're unsure, check your own state's statutes or speak with a legal professional before you deposit anywhere.
How We Handle Bonuses and Promotions
A welcome bonus like a 100% match or a free bet sounds simple until you read the fine print. Every offer we mention comes with rollover requirements, and often minimum odds or time limits, that determine whether it's actually worth claiming. We include those conditions alongside the headline figure rather than burying them, because a bonus that looks generous on the surface can be difficult to clear in practice. None of our coverage should be read as a promise that a bonus will make you money — bonuses reduce the cost of betting, they don't remove the risk of losing.
What We Won't Do
A few lines we don't cross, regardless of how a page is framed elsewhere on this site:
- We won't tell you that offshore betting is clearly legal or that a site is "regulated" in the way a US state-licensed sportsbook is
- We won't present any tip, pick or strategy as a guaranteed winner
- We won't frame betting as a source of income or a way to solve a financial problem
- We won't downplay the possibility that an offshore operator delays or refuses a payout, or that crypto values can swing sharply between deposit and withdrawal
Responsible Gambling Comes First
Betting should stay entertainment, not a way to chase losses or cover expenses. Offshore sportsbooks often have lighter responsible-gambling tools than regulated US operators — self-exclusion options and deposit limits vary by site and aren't guaranteed to match what you'd find on a state-licensed platform. Our Responsible Gambling page has more detail on the tools worth looking for and where to find support. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is available around the clock at 1-800-GAMBLER.
Everything on this site is intended for adults aged 21 and over. We do not create content aimed at, or intended to appeal to, anyone under that age, and nothing here is advice to bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose.
How We Make Money
Offshore Sportsbooks earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with some of the operators we review — if you sign up through a link on this site, we may receive a commission. That relationship never decides our rankings or ratings. An operator paying for a placement doesn't move them up our list, and it doesn't stop us from noting a genuine limitation, even for the highest-rated site we cover. Our full Terms and Conditions set out how the site operates in more detail.
Questions or Corrections
Sportsbooks change their bonus terms, banking options and mobile apps regularly, and we do our best to keep this site current as of 2026. If you spot something out of date, or you have a question about how we arrived at a rating, reach out through our Contact Us page — we read every message.
